High Buffering Potential of Winter Wheat Composite Cross Populations to Rapidly Changing Environmental Conditions

نویسندگان

چکیده

A winter wheat composite cross population (CCP), created in the UK 2001, has been grown Germany, Hungary, and since 2005 (F5 generation). In 2008/09 (F8), a cycling pattern for populations was developed between partners to test effects of rapidly changing environments on agronomic performance morphological characteristics. One CCP by eight one year subsequently sent next partner, creating “cycling CCPs” with different histories. 2013, all CCPs three non-cycling (from UK) were included two-year experiment Germany line varieties as references. Differing seed weights F13 at sowing affected some parameters under drought conditions 2014/15 but not less stressful 2013/14. both experimental years, comparable terms performance, yielding more than 2015. The results highlight potential compete varieties, while overall similarity based their origin history traits indicates high buffering highly variable environmental conditions.

Relationship of base temperature to development of winter wheat

Development of wheat (Triticum spp.) is primary driven by temperature, but is also affected by other factors such as vernalization and photoperiod. Crop growth and development are often described in terms of calendar days. However, determining the development in terms of thermal time or physiological time is more accurate because it is an accumulation of the caloric energy needed for the o...

the effect of taftan pozzolan on the compressive strength of concrete in the environmental conditions of oman sea (chabahar port)

cement is an essential ingredient in the concrete buildings. for production of cement considerable amount of fossil fuel and electrical energy is consumed. on the other hand for generating one tone of portland cement, nearly one ton of carbon dioxide is released. it shows that 7 percent of the total released carbon dioxide in the world relates to the cement industry. considering ecological issu...

Novelty Detection under Changing Environmental Conditions

The primary objective of novelty detection is to examine a system’s dynamic response to determine if the system significantly deviates from an initial baseline condition. In reality, the system is often subject to changing environmental and operation conditions that affect its dynamic characteristics. Such variations include changes in loading, boundary conditions, temperature, and moisture. Mo...

How to Evaluate Vulnerability in Changing Environmental Conditions?

, The prevailing paradigm has been that climate variability and change can be projected decades or even a century or more into the future (e.g. IPCC 1996, 2001). However, for several reasons-e.g. imperfect representation of the full complexity of the Earth system, non-linear spatial and temporal feedbacks, and imperfect foresight of human behaviour, it may not be possible to assess the range of...
